Retro-Inspired posters

I found some awesome movie poster designs the other day. I love the simplified, two-tone shading. Also, it looks like the color palettes for each of the posters are limited to about four colors; very economical for printing. 24 Excellent Retro Posters

Vintage Packaging

I am thinking about the graphics I want on the outside of my packaging for bobby pins. I want to go with a vintage looking aesthetic, something elegant, like a beauty product that looks like it is from a antique french powder room. In researching vintage packaging I found some really cool looking designs for inspiration. These packages appear to all have an art nouveau/ art deco design.

Creative Book Covers

I like how these book covers are updated versions of classic stories. It makes the older book more desirable for contemporary readers.

Book Cover art for Lion, Witch, and the WardrobeThis

This is one of my favorite book covers. I like the hand drawn aesthetic and the feeling conveyed in the lion's eyes.

This is my other favorite cover. It is clean and simple but still whimsical.

Event Poster sketch

The final concept for my poster is to have eyes looking through a barcode and at the bottom of the barcode, where the upc would normally be placed, it will say "I am not for sale." This is my initial sketch. The eyes will be painted in watercolor and the barcode and text will be designed on top of the scanned watercolor painting.

Poster Event

Ending Modern Day Slavery Event.

Human Trafficking is a huge problem in Atlanta. I did not know how big the problem was until I attended this event during the summer.  I am still shocked at how underexposed Atlanta human trafficking is. According to NightLight International, about 495 under aged girls are trafficked every month in Georgia. Additionally, about 7,200 men are purchasing sexually exploited girls every month. Even though I attended "Ending Modern Day Slavery" five months ago, I still feel passionate about doing something to help these victims in my own city. This is my inspiration for my event poster.
